What we build

Odds compress a large amount of information into a small number. SimTheGame expands those prices into a distribution: likely scores, outcome frequencies, player-stat ranges, and period-by-period paths that agree with one another. The purpose is understanding, not promising certainty.

The public board is free to read. A free account opens one complete simulation each day, and Pro removes that daily limit. Every tier uses the same 10,000-run simulation; paying does not produce a more favorable result.

Our operating principles

Market-implied, not picks

The sportsbook market is the input. We do not present a separate power rating as a guaranteed edge or tell readers what to bet.

Ranges, not false precision

A median score is one useful summary, but the surrounding distribution is the product. An outcome with 60% probability still fails four times in ten.

Why we built it

The market has a story, but it is hard to read

Sportsbooks invest enormous resources in forecasting sports. Their prices react to injuries, weather, lineup changes, public action, sharp action, proprietary models, and real financial risk. Yet the final product usually reaches a fan as a wall of disconnected numbers: a moneyline in one place, a total in another, dozens of player prop ladders, period markets, alternates, and first-scorer prices. Each number contains information, but the full story is almost impossible to hold in your head at once.

We built a translation layer

We built SimTheGame to make that story readable. It is a transparency layer over the sports betting market and a different kind of sports game simulator. Instead of creating another team rating or claiming to know more than the market, SimTheGame begins with the prices sportsbooks have already published. It converts those odds into implied probabilities, removes margin where both sides of a market are available, and plays the game out 10,000 times under those market constraints.

Our guiding question

If every priced market is true, what does the game actually look like?

Answering that question requires more than displaying a win probability. A complete game has a final score, a range around that score, periods or innings that add back to the final, player statistics that reconcile with team results, and one first scorer. SimTheGame turns sportsbook odds into complete, internally consistent game scripts so people can explore the outcome distribution rather than stare at isolated betting lines.

From an odds board to a readable game

Every simulation follows the same basic path. First, the platform reads the available moneyline, spread, total, team total, period, player prop, alternate, and specialty markets. Next, it converts each price on the basis the sportsbook actually published. An Over from one book is never normalized against an Under from another, and an unpriced opposite side is never invented. The engine then samples complete games from those market-implied distributions and aggregates the 10,000 runs into likely score ranges, full distributions, period splits, average box scores, and simulated hit rates.

This approach is useful across NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, NFL, CFL, NCAAF, and soccer because the presentation changes by sport while the principle stays fixed. Basketball quarters, baseball innings, hockey periods, football scoring events, and soccer scorelines all obey different physical rules. Those rules are enforced so the output remains possible and coherent, but the platform does not add an opinion about who is talented, who is in form, or what a typical performance should be.

Why internal consistency matters

A sportsbook does not publish four unrelated prices when it offers a player's prop at several thresholds. Together, those thresholds describe a probability distribution. The same is true for alternate spreads and total ladders. SimTheGame treats those ladders as distributions and asks them to coexist inside the same simulated game. Player scoring must equal team scoring. Period scores must equal the final score. Home runs cannot exceed hits, goals cannot exceed shots on goal, and exactly one eligible player can score first.

That consistency check can reveal places where the market's own published numbers do not fit comfortably together. SimTheGame calls this a gap signal. A gap is not a pick, a prediction, or a direction to bet. It is an observation that one priced market disagrees with the picture implied by the other priced markets. The platform surfaces the disagreement and stops there.

The boundary we protect

The product is built around one non-negotiable rule: every simulated outcome must trace back to published sportsbook odds, unless it is clearly identified as a physical constraint required by the sport. SimTheGame does not invent power ratings, pace estimates, usage assumptions, or missing prices. Silence is information. When the market has not priced something, the platform does not borrow the market's authority to fill the gap with its own belief.

That boundary is why the platform does not sell picks or promise certainty. A 60% outcome can still fail four times in ten, and 10,000 runs reduce simulation noise without removing real-world uncertainty. The market does the forecasting. SimTheGame does the translation, making live sportsbook probabilities easier to inspect, compare, and understand.
